I've "come by" your web site several times in the past few months, and I really enjoy your lush and evocative photography. Thanks, and good luck in your photography endeavors. - Larry

I just wanted to write and let you know how very much I enjoyed seeing your work !! Your composition and play of light is visually exciting and inspiring. Your range is great, too, between formats and color or b&w, you seem to pick the best those mediums have to offer. I look forward to seeing any additions to your page and of hearing of any shows. - Cindy R.

Just saw your stunning cover photo from May's Photo magazine over the internet and Photon home page. Amazing! - Michael

Magnificent collection, by far the best I have come across on the WEB!! - Take Care...MIKE

I'm very impressed with your work. "The Tube" series is especially fine & just as soon as I can I'm going to order a copy of "Kneeling". Thanks for sharing it on the www. - Dick

Sam, it was a great pleasure to "happen upon" your Site! I am highly impressed with your photos, subjects, arrangements, etc. I will be browsing again soon and will drop you a note from time to time. I hope you rotate work regularly! I must disembark...my work calls! - Peter

I agree with your artist's statement. Equipment talk is for boys who never grew up. When it boils down to it, "Are you taking the right shot?" should be the most important question. Thanks for letting me know there are more dedicated people out there. you might want to visit our site as well. - Cheers! Colin

Hey, I was surfing along and hit your picture and it nearly blew me off my browser. : ) I have been into photography (looking at it) for a long time. My father (is) was a photographer (lunatic) and we went to a lot of photo shows and contests. I think that your picture is unique, although it has an almost Renaissance feel to it. Know what I mean? The dove image reflected in the water seems to indicate that the peacefulness of the picture is only a re-presentation of the idea of peace. Just like the so-called peace of our age is only a represenation of an idea, not of reality. Of course, all this interpretation reveals is how I see things, not how you represent them with your techno-art. Photography is an unheralded forerunner of Internet-specific art forms. You have made a fine contribution to my experience of the Internet. Thank you very much, - Brice

Sam, Congratulation on the Vilna Shul home page. I got chills looking at the pictures; I've only been inside a couple of times. BTW, my grandfather, Max Kalman, was the architect. Wish I could be there for the festivities on Sunday. Hope all goes well. I've "come by" your web site several times in the past few months, and I really enjoy your lush and evocative photography. As an expatriate and nearly-always-homesick Bostonian, I can't tell you how delightful a discovery your web page is. That e-shadow wandering in and through your prints several times a week is only me...remembering. Thank you. - Pete

I enjoyed seeing your site. Your instructions for producing " Hand Colored images" from full color photos where clear and informative. Thanks for the visit. - Cheers Mark

I love the photography but reading the aqua and pale green against your color-speckled background is, for me at least, an impossibility! (I'm a photographer and psychologist; the latter tells me you've set up an impossible visual discrimination task, while the former makes me want to struggle to read your links) Nice photographs! - MAF

I just viewed your web page. What an amazing thing. I've never seen a photographer's page so organized and readable. I especially enjoyed the images of people crossing streets in downtown Boston. The idea of continual movement is fascinating. There's an infinite number of interesting and "photographic" moments taking place all of the world, all the time. It's simply a matter of discovery and selection. Also, the photographs from Mexico were touching. The shot of the woman surrounded by children was a complete story of its own. That's the kind of work I hope to do some day. Rather than constructing moments, I hope to find them. To capture the human experience. That, really, is photography's greatest power.
